how to take apart a 4 banger tranny?

i have a tranny to replace the one in my truck. it is a 4 cylinder 2 wheel drive truck. now the tranny's are the same. i think its the mazda tranny, the tranny i want to put in i was told it wines in most of the gears, someone told me maybe a bearing. so how do i take it apart without making it worse and getting it back together right? A diagram or a detailed instructions would be helpful!

Seriously? They are extremely complex. If it were me, I'd get a known good working trans from a j/y or take it to a shop. I'd only consider doing something of the sort with free stuff because I know my first few would probably be failures. My money would be better spent on having someone work on it that knew what they were doing.

i have a tranny that will fit your truck...it is in great shape...no slop in shifter...$200 but i live in north east florida...

however....if yo try to disasemble it yourself....use a camera, note pads, parts baggies and do not force something that wont come apart....don't be afraid to ask if someone if their is somethingyou cant figure out...

this is one of those times when you make a freind at a swall tranny shop buy him a couple cases of beer....

on the other hand i had a bearing bad in a 88 i had and i seen it go 40K miles then i sold it...i just put in a little lucas....
