Headers for 2.8 /2.9

Found a set of used headers for a2.9 .Dont remember if they will also fit a2.8? Anybody know?:icon_confused:

No, the 2.8 has two exhaust ports per bank close together and the 2.9 has them all evenly spaced.

look on summit racing, theres a set of edelbrock's for a 2.8

find an aerostar with a 2.8,,scarf the headers from it.

That is by far the cheapest option. However, they will have to be "tweeked" to fit properly, otherwise the frame will have to be notched.

i put a set of tube headers from an 86 aerostar on my b2 and ran into a couple of "tweeks". first i had to crease the tube on the pass. side against the frame rail to allow it to seat properly on the head, i figured a small indent would still be better than the stock manifolds. second i had to relocate the oil filter due to the down pipe on the same side. and finally you mave have to have a new y-pipe made. the stock one and the one from the aerostar were different widths and angles dfferently also. good luck and have fun.
