Ha, my turn with girl issues

Well, not really issues but whatever.... anyways the girl and i called it quits after 4 years. twas a mutual thing, no fighting, no yelling....since we started college 2 years ago things started goin down hill, both of us have been unhappy. her and i have been talking for the past 2 hours and we both decided that we need to branch off, possibly see other people, figure out what makes us happy, and possibly meet back up later on down the road. its also been hard for us since she graduated because i am still going to school here in maine and shes back home in new hampshire, so we only really see eachother about 6-7 days out of the whole month. in a way its one less thing to stress me out, but at the same time it still sucks, but i want her to be happy so if this is the case, i'll live. in a way it makes sence, we started dating when we were 16 and we're only 20, 21 in 4 1/2 months so theres a lot left out there....and now maybe i can focus on getting a more reliable truck and save a good chunk to put down on college loans when i start paying them a year from now.....

Sounds like me and this one girl I know, haha. It's better to just let it go for a bit, then try to keep in touch occasionally if you like. We've got lotsa life left, so we might as well live it up while we can. As a friend of mine puts it, once you're apart "You'll either realize what you've been missing, or what you miss."

My only issue is my ex is hot and would rather hang out with nerds and kids who somehow got into college at 17 (she's 19). So naturally she doesn't have a hard meeting people, but oh well.

4 years is a long time, and I'd be willing to bet you'll come across one another again, but at a better point in your lives. I dated this girl for 2 1/2 years almost, but now I almost spend more time with her older brothers and parents since they like me so much.

Ahh ok, that's good. Being friends is hard and really awkward at times, evenly though you think it shouldn't be, but it's better not to burn bridges in the long run. Hope everything works out for ya.

im sure it will, we decided that while im home for xmas vaca for a few days we're just gunna not see eachother cuz she knows that will be hard on her and i respect that, so ill just find somthing to wrench with my dad at my parents house maybe i can convince him to finally let me rip out the 302 outa the f150 and take the buckets out of it too

Girls or women? I'm still on very good terms with my ex from 30 years ago. We just grew apart from what we wanted. We still talk and are still good friends, just different. Too much back then was based on sex rather than knowing each other, that's the big difference.
