Right Rear Wheel locking up...2000 Ranger Sport

Hey guys,

My passenger side rear wheel has locked up on me once yesterday, but released and was able to get home. Now, in the laneway the wheel is locked up again. I am able to reverse but not go forward. I'm thinking parking brake issue, any thoughts?

you could crack the bleeder on the slave cylinder and see if theres any pressure in the lines. if there is, you have an ABS issue. if theres no pressure, you have a mechanical issue and you'll have to pull the drum off and see whats up.

I know that my truck will easily roll backwards with the parking brake on, but not forward. Maybe you're on the right track. Can't hurt to pull the drums and have a look.

+1 pull drums
the parts in there don;t hold up well to muddy watercrossings.
Pulled a drum on my 1996 and found almost all the parts gone. ground up.
