I need a good brush guard I found some but they don't look very sturdy. Around here there are LOTS of deer and I don't want to kill them with my truck I want to kill them during deer season. I would like a heavy brush guard that will protect my front end. In short I would like a heavy duty brush guard that I could hit a deer with and it wouldn't do a dang thing to my truck or brush guard. and info would be apreciated.

ARB might make something for it. I would go with an off road winch bumper and not a brush guard. brush guards can cause more damage...........

wow, ARB has a bumper for the Escape but nothing for an RBV......... anyways look around.... go to ARB's website and you will see what i am talking about.

I need something cheaper than that I am on a buget. It needs to be fairly cheap.

cheap and bumper don't go together, you should spend about $500 to $750 on a decent Used bumper. brush guards suck, they will cause fender damage.

maybe fab your own? if you have the skills to do so that is.

Check around and get a used one. I got a Westin for my F-150 for $60, I had to repaint it.

Both my brother and I have hit deer, they caused minimal damage to the stock bumper, and they both spun around into the back of the wheel opening. Mine was $1800 to fix his was $1200, the biggest, fanciest grille guard/bumper would have done no better. I look at it as a ticket to continue to where ever I was going with intact headlights and radiator rather than a free pass from going to the bodyshop.

For deer a normal sturdy grille guard is fine, beware of the flimsy ones though.
