I was using the "crazedlist" search to look at all of the PA statewide listings in Craigslist and as I was scrolling through the huge amount of results I happened to notice the word "Aerostar" along with the price of $8300 which of course made me click on it to see what the hell would make an Aerostar worth that much. After reading the ad I kinda wish I had $8300 just laying around...

Pretty sick!

But why all that work for an Aerostar? I don't get it. Looks like a lot of quality work tho..

Yeah after reading the full description I realized that the guy put ALOT of custom fab work into that thing. It does seem like a little too much time to invest in an Aerostar but then again the finished product is pretty cool.

Because it's different.

I watched an episode of PINKS once that had a minivan drag race. It went against a 80's Mustang and lost, but he won a couple prior to that.

And rboyer, you live in PA?

that thing is pretty sick. my family used to have a couple different aerostar vans when i was a kid but definitely not like that one! i used to get it to roast the tires on dry pavement with the v6. i'd like to see what that one would do with the v8. my only question is, why does he have the computer from a 5-speed mustang in it when its got an auto tranny? i guess he might mean 5-speed automatic...idk

AOD's are not computer controlled, so as far as the computer knows it is a manual transmission.

I don't know what took him more time, customizing the van or writing up the description?
