Hey,

Name is Aron. I live in Alaska and have an 04 Ranger 2.3 2wd. October is when we start getting snow. So knowing it was gonna snow soon, I bought a 2wd truck. I got this truck at auction for $1100. It has a rod knock with 96,000 miles. Alaska is know for it's horrible roads and mini trucks are a scarce race up here. So being that I had a 96 s-10 on 20's (bought not built) I'm gonna make this thing into a mini truck. Starting with a lowering kit from Belltech 3/3 drop and the normal things like system, tint, rims, lights. Nothing too crazy knowing I can't drive this thing 6 months out of the year.

Here are some pictures of what it looks like with my 16's off my bronco 2. I'm knocking that becon off so don't worry.

It can't be a rod knock because the 2.3 Duratech is a DOHC engine (no pushrods). It's a nice truck though.

piston slap? I'm at a loss right now of what it is.

usually rod knock means connecting rod. pushrod noise is more of a tick. nice steal on the truck! there are a few here from AK.
