m50d drive shaft issues

looks like im still on the prowl for a rear driveshaft..

anyone got one laying around?

might even be able to afford one other than stock?!?!?!

I have a double cardon shaft, but it takes a yoke at the transfer case instead of the flange. I will take $30 + shipping for it. It came out of a Bronco II.

It is only a 1-1/4" bolt that holds the flange on; just unbolt it, pull it off, install the yoke, and bolt it back on.

You should be able to find a yoke easy. If you want that drive shaft, let me know; if not it isn't a big deal.

alright. i'll see whats up with everything and if it comes down to crunch time i'll do something with yours. thanks again

I am at work now. In bed by 11pm and up at 5:45am to be at work by 6:45am.

Yup, gotta be up late selling some guy a driveshaft that won't fit.

Those double cardan rear driveshafts were used only in the 1984 model year and there was NO transmission that was the correct length that year. A4LDs were released the next model year, with the RZeppa (CV) driveshaft.

Those yokes are EXACTLY as easy or hard to find as the shaft that fits into them. I.e., they are on 1984 model Bronco IIs.

If it were an aftermarket shaft, it would fit the flange and require no retrofit.

Switching from an RZeppa to a double cardan shaft REQUIRES adjusting driveline angles on a Bronco II. Or that double cardan shaft is going to shake at the pinion.

Hey nice way to be an ass prick. The double cardon that I have is the same length as the current drive shaft installed on my BII. Nice try prick, now go cry to your mommy.

Ass prick?

You have an 8.8. He has a 7.5. It WILL NOT FIT.

I used the exact same drive shaft on the 7.5 when I had it in my Bronco II. When I swapped in the 8.8, I didn't change drive shafts.

ok the truck lives again!!!! but needs an alignment almost as bad as i need a driveshaft
