My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Buying a vehicle just outside Pittsburg.

After doing a little math, it seems as if Ill be able to save a full handful of hundred dollar bills by having a transport company bring it to me rather than renting a truck and a trailer and getting it myself.. unfortunately saving the money is more important than enjoying a little road trip out of state.

@PetroleumJunkie412 has recommended hot-shot trucking, does anyone else have an outfit they've used in the past to haul a vehicle for them?

Looking for any and all recommendations.

Fly down and drive it back.

Unfortunately you would have to deal with PJ in real life but any struggles along the way would make great video for your fledging youtube channel....

I had my Bronco II shipped up from Florida. I know it was cheaper then going down to get it myself.

I belive I documented cost and shippers name in the G-Unit build thread.

The truck is halfway to a basket case and doesn't run, or else that's probably what I would've ended up doing.

I shall check it out!

Also, it may be worth while to contact some Freight brokers. I don't know if there are many freight brokers that work with Autos, but they usually work with many trucking companies. Your adding a middle man, but they can combine shipments with stuff so you don't have to pay for the whole truck. It's more of a thing for dry goods and pallets, but there may be soe brokers out there that work with cars too.

If that makes sense.

If it's just a roller, that may limit which auto shippers will deal with it.

My only experience having one shipped, was in 2016 for an Explorer I bought through eBay in Pennsylvania, and had it shipped to me in Georgia. I used a company named Inter-City Auto Transport; a good crew trailered it down; it was a good experience, and I thought the cost was reasonable. Cost was $750, but that was 10 years ago.

When Vice Grip Garage bought a bunch of cars from Motortrend when they closed down he mentioned vehicles are much cheaper to ship when they run.

If Dana carvey shows up...slam the door...think about it, he took a clean new Saab and make a junk heap war wagon. He could drive your heap you're buying and bring it to you in new condition with Saab parts..the possibilities..
