Looking for 4 Door

I am trying the impossible again, I'm looking to import a 4 door ranger. Since I believe they did make them in 2001 in Mexico, this SHOULD be possible.

Anyone ever try buying a car in Mexico, importing then, or searching for them?

I can't find a lot of info to get started.

I'm pretty familiar with the process, but the "Mexico" part is unique, they don't really use the internet all that much to post used car listings from what I understood.

So trying to find a 4 door ranger is my big concern. Then procuring it is a logistical issue I must overcome.

I've seen lots of them when I travel to Mexico. I'm not sure what the first year was, but I think they built them until production stopped in 2011. I would love to have one also, but I think the expense of importing one and the paperwork nightmare would turn me off.
If you're serious about looking for one, try Facebook or WhatsApp. Those are where most people there live.

25 years is the cutoff.

I know there are places that specialize in this thing, lots of people import old Defenders and Land Cruisers.

I would suggest checking into a broker, they know the ins and outs, who to call etc to make it happen.

I beleive that they can't be imported because they don't meet the emmision or safety standard for US.

Houston and austin have import companies.

I see those four doors from mexico regularly too. I guess they come up here for work

Once they are 25 years old that doesn't matter.
