Why can't we have one of these?

No i get that...im just used the SS and lightning as examples of how ford seems to bring a knife to a gun fight at times

Not really.

The Lightning was pretty comparable and really Ford put more effort into it than GM did.

GM just dropped a one ton truck engine into a half ton with duel exhaust.

Ford modified an existing half ton engine and pretty much tied the big block performance.

90's big truck engines are a long ways from anything sports car/truck like.

GM seemed to be going for the muscle car formula though....which personally to me is more appealing...

That said though if ford woulda used the 460 and tweaked it a bit it would of embarassed the SS

The 1st gen Splash was available with a 4.0 v6. You had a 2wd RBV with a fiberglass bed, but it was comparable to the S-10 with the NA 4.3 than it was to a Syclone.

I've been whining for years that Ford has ignored the street truck scene, for lift kits and big tires. I thought the Maverick was going to fix that, Until they gave us FX4 and Tremor trims on it. The LOBO trucks are appearance only packages and add no real performance to either the Maverick or the F-150.
Why can't we have one of these?
