My God, this time change has wrecked me for the last two mornings! I'm falling asleep at the desk, over having to get up an hour early. Every year I say I'm just going to keep the same early schedule so this doesn't affect me, but apparently I am too enticed by the "extra" sleep I get when the time changes in the Fall.

Rant over. It's actually quite beautiful here today. Rainbows on the way to the office. Spring is in full form.

yesterday: paid some guys with an excavator to break out the old foundation from when we knocked the front house down and also break out the sidewalk around the old foundation. 1800 bucks and it was totally worth it. they did it in about 6 hours and even put fill dirt back in.

and i played call of duty with a buddy that lives in colorado. we actually play every night at 1900-2000 in case anyone else wants to join. we have about 6 guys who pop in and out but regularly, its just us

Today was yard work since the weather was so nice and I didn't have time to start tearing into the 2019's steering rack. A lot of sticks and bean like shell casings from someone's tree have littered the year. I also trimmed back the butterfly bushes and trumpet vines back.

Among other things, got some steel cut for the shop project and worked some more on the service cart plus attended the monthly township meeting. Also sat on the front porch and had a cigar.

I’ve had fancier cars, but even now, I’ve always been able to just drive what I want and go about my own business. I am unusual in the sense that if I hit the great big lottery, I would buy older stuff, not newer stuff. There’s something to be said about history and style and performance, and frankly just personal taste and preference

And a quick edit: I have always understood the concept of value. What you get for what you spend. I would rather have five clean older trucks than $100,000 new truck.

My original Xbox has bad capacitors (vaguely humorous to me since that’s also a problem with our truck computers). I used to play COD4, Black Ops and Black Ops 2 on my PC which now needs replaced because it’s a dinosaur that still runs XP Pro, lol

I'm the same. The absolute biggest reason I own this '08? No trackers. No Bluetooth. No SIM built into the ECU. I'm not a node for data generation to make others rich. I'm just a driver in traffic. Plus, I've gotten more nods from guys my age and older because I lucked out and found a 95% unblemished example that was tastefully modified.

It was a joke. I could have that flag painted on the roof of my truck and not have any problems here.

I wasn't sure if Macon had swung that far or not.

I have my registration in Tennessee and my roommate keeps offering to pay the difference if I'll swap to that tag. I thought about taking him up on it, but I'm pretty sure my insurance doesn't cover vandalism and we're too close to Denver for it not to eventually attract someone with ill intent.

my original xbox had a bad hard drive. (i got hte xbox for free) i figured out you could use a hard drive for some pc that was super inexpensive and just load xbox system to that hard drive and plug it into the xbox. the fans would only run at 6v so if you modded the xbox fan to run off a 12v spot the hard drive never went out again. as soon as i learned that, i got every xbox with the circle of death and replaced the hd and sold each one for 50 bucks. it was a good deal till the next xbox came out.


i still have all my original xbox cod games in the cases, actually, i still have every cod game i ever bought that came on a disk because i figure someday that will be worth money. since the original mike tyson game jumped up to a ton of money when nintendo took his name off and just called it punch out, those old cod disks will have to, too.

maybe, ha ha ha


i still use my xp pro disk to load a brand new hd so i can load other systems on if i cannot get ubuntu to load up on its own.

i have an original atari too!!!!! and a bunch of games, frogger, pacman, some safari game that i think is supposed to be indiana jones, asteroids, and some others. got it at the good will years ago with a big box of games for 5 bucks
