Blinking Tire pressure light

Hi all, I just finished doing the upper and lower control arms on my ‘11 Ranger 2wd, 2.3L. Don’t know how this could be related but now I have the exclamation mark indicator light, which I think is the tire pressure light, blinking whenever I start the truck and then it stays on. I have checked the pressure on the tires and they are correct. I wasn’t sure this truck even had tire pressure sensors. What else could it be? Thank you all.

You have a sensor that is failing. You can try to have the truck relearn it by using a cheap tool, made for that purpose, on amazon.

A local tire shop tried that on my 2019 but it didn't work. They insisted that if it popped up again, there is something wrong with the truck. Funny, being that the 9 other tires I have for the truck work perfectly fine, but ok.

Anyway, unlike some other vehicles, the TPMS light on the 2011 and older Rangers is jist a glorified dummy light. Annoying but it doesn't effect other things. On some other vehicles, it can put you in a limp mode if the light comes on.

try looking at the black "tubes" attached to the steering knuckles.
that's the sensor wires.
did you route them correctly?

I’ll double check them, but I didn’t really have to move them. Just made sure they weren’t tugged on. Those are wheel sensor lines, right? Does that light flash when there are issues with those as well. Thanks!

A tire shop tool might be able to tell. The sensor I mentioned previously, tested perfectly fine according to the tire tech. Granted, it is an intermittent problem. So theoretically, it decided to work as soon as the tech looked at it. But the light was on when I pulled into the lot. Anyway, if the battery level is marginal or something else that is a constant issue, they should be able to tell which one it is.
