Anyone find any good Prime Day deals coming up?

@JoshT , if there is a Tractor Supply near you, they sell soft shackles for $25 each around here and HF wants $40 each…

I didn't find anything I couldn't live without.

I kinda wish I would have waited on my Battery Tender stuff... woulda saved myself at least $20.

I picked up GoRhino ones at MOORE for $35/pr.

A lot of HF recovery stuff really isnt a super great deal.

I've seen them.

I'm just using these for ATV and hunting type stuff. I was already installing the winch to retrieve deer from wet places I don't want to drive into. Since dad isn't around to call for help any more, I decided I wanted to have the stuff to pull myself out if I get stuck in the woods. Part of the kit I'll be carrying in the woods now since I won't have a help hotline while there. There will be plenty of people around the property, but spotty cell service and long walk to them, so rather recover myself if possible.

I bought a set with 2 soft shackles and a recovery ring for about $30. My '10 Rancher 420 is maybe 500lb, a deer around here is half that max, and Dad's '08 Foreman 500 isn't much heavier. I think that the Amazon stuff will be plenty strong enough. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C341JYP2?tag=959media-20

I didn't even think about that. I've been thinking about getting one of the NOCO dual bank chargers to mount in the F-250. That diesel is a little stubborn to crank after it sits for several days, so topped up batteries help. Keeping them fresh also helps with battery life and it gets expensive when you;ve got to replace both of those, especially when they died from sitting and lack of use.

On the other hand, that truck is about to go, so probably for the better that I did do that right before getting rid of it. The next owner (my BIL) can do it if he wants. I think he'll use it more often than I did which will eliminate the need.

If I were using it for truck/car type stuff, I'd have spent some money on them. This stuff is just for use doing self recovery on my 500ish pound ATV. Maybe unstick a fellow hunting club member with similar size/weight ATV/UTV. It's unlikely I'll ever use it for more than dragging a deer or hog up to the ATV to load on the game trailer, and if it's a BIG hog it'll probably be left where it drops (go back and shoot the coyotes at night). For that duty, this Amazon stuff should do just fine.

If a truck is stuck, well they're (or I am) kinda SOL. I won't be driving my vehicles into any place out there that basic 4wd couldn't get out of. By the time I have a vehicle worth offroading, I'll have a proper kit built for it.

I actually had a this NOCO Booster in my cart. It was $69. I forgot about it until today. I'll just keep watching i guess. Last one I had (not a NOCO) worked when I needed it a few times but it stopped taking a charge after a couple years.

I just hate being stranded with jumper cables asking for a jump. Most decent folks will help ya... but i don't like asking for help.

Now that you mention it, I think I might have seen a box for one of those in dad's shop. If it is and I can find it, that would be a lot better size for the ATV than the big diesel jump pack that I have.

Apparently Milwaukee has a jump pack that uses M18 batteries now…

I haven’t looked into it yet, but that could be an answer for jump packs that the battery in them goes flat after a few years

I seen that...

I'm not sure of the exact price but it was expensive. I would likely buy one if it was something I needed on the regular. Like if I was still wrenching for a living.

It's just too much money for the couple times a year I'd actually need it.
