What’s all this about an h4 conversion for led?

Been doing more headlight research, I have a 99’ ranger that uses 9007 bulbs. I was reading and I stumbled upon some thread using some kind of lens to reshape the light from their leds to make it project further and not blind drivers. It said it was an h4 adapter. Is this a legitimate method of making a led work better in halogen housings? I also read leds have come a long way and are plug and play and will not blind, not sure I believe it yet.

Someone posted a link to a Tacoma forum I think and it had an incredibly in depth discussion where one fella tested many different kinds of leds, halogens, and hids. I never finished reading it and now I’ve lost where it was posted on here. Any body know where this thread may be?

I recommend staying legal, get a set of new housings with some inexpensive, replaceable Hella H4 bulbs; build a stand alone power circuit with new, better wire (14g or larger) directly from.yiur battery via relays, controlled by your original stock light switch.

Light levels can be significantly brighter with all of the factors realised:
• new bulbs
• new clear housings
• 14g wire's ability to carry increased current (or new 18-16g wire will also deliver an improvement over say, 30 year old wire)
• power delivered strait from.the battery insures maximum current

When I did this I measured unexpected improvements in brightness. States are beginning to crack down on the illegal.use of LED headlights; first offense is $156 in my jurisdiction.

...my bust,
All the better as H4 bulbs are SUPER INEXPENSIVE and you can still incorporate the stand alone power circuit!!
