Hello, I've searched the forums here and can't seem to find a definitive answer from any posts just guesses.
I have a 2000 XLT supercab that i need to swap the rear passenger cab door out of but i cant seem to find if other years, if any, are compatible besides Gen 4 98-2003.

I've found a rear door from a 2006 ext cab, anyone know if that will fit as well or are the mounts or latches different ?
Thanks, great resource of information here !

Body lines and design did not change after 1998, as far as anything beyond the grill, fenders, bumper, and hood, everything stayed the same. So, that should fit just fine. Just be aware some small items like clip locations and screw holes may have changed. I ran across that when replacing a front door on my 1998. Otherwise, everything bolted up just fine.

OK, I think I'll give it a go then, appreciate the info!
If it doesn't work out I'll post back here to confirm for anyone looking in the future

The inner door panel is going to be different, but it mounts the same way as yours, so you can just swap in the "old" one to the new door.

Thanks for added the info, that'll save me more than a few curse words down the road hah!
The deal fell through as the owner sold it already so I'll keep it in mind while i search for another one.

Just managed to get a hold of a rear cab door from a 2005, for anyone else wondering in the future, was able to swap it no problem, can confirm the inner door trim is slightly darker in color.

Now getting it aligned and to shut properly , that's another story
