Is the 2024 Ranger ok to run thru a car wash with the antenna ?

Hi Everyone

the little stick up antenna lol, just realized its there and I have a car wash I use or have used a lot. It’s the auto one where u go in neutral and it pulls u thru and uses nozzle spray and those big roller things

want sure if this was ok? Didnt want t be “that person” here in the group lol

I think in the owners manual it states to unscrew the antenna for auto car washes................

I ran mine through multiple ones before I put the roof rack on. Plus have drug it through multiple tree limbs. Not one issue. That being said. They do make a stubby antenna for it. I think @JohnnyO has one. Plus don't hold me accountable if the car wash breaks it off haha.

True. One of the first things I got for it since the OE unit was getting beat up on my garage door.
Auto Zone, about $14.
Normally I use a touchless car wash in the winter but a couple times I've used a car wash with brushes and it didn't hurt the Stubby antenna.

Don't know about the size needed for the new Rangers, but on the older versions the antenna unscrews easily with a 10 mm wrench.

The 2019+ models are all rubber with no nut portion. They unscrew by hand quite easily.
