guys, i installed a new pressure plate, clutch pak, slave cylinder on a 4 x 4 2002 Ranger....the stick wont' budge, do i need to adjust the pressure plate? anything else not right?

if i do need to adjust the plate, how?

thanks much in advance.

Sounds like you reinstalled the "stickshift lever" wrong.

I've heard of it happening a lot. I think you can remove it and use a large screwdriver to put the transmission in nuetral and then reinstall the lever.

that was checked before installation, it was in neutral

If you can shift through all the gears with the engine off but can't shift with it running......you have a hydraulic clutch problem.

At this point, I'd dismount the master from the firewall and turn it upside down. Then bleed the slave. There are many opinions and methods, use the Search.

Edit: I see you're new....WELCOME!

Try search using keywords like "bleed slave" "bleed clutch", etc.

Ok, I see.

Sorry, just trying to give you an idea on where to look. I've done clutches on these things more then I'd like to admit.

Like stated above, if that's the issue then yes.....try bleeding.

Are you sure the clutch disc went in right, not reversed?

truck just rolled out, thanks guys; it was the new pressure plate, the locks for the fingers didn't snap in place,
