We are thinking about going back again this year, didn't know if anyone else would be game to join. We camp at SMORR, a huge offroad park about an hour away.

MOORE EXPO OVERLANDING AND OFF-ROAD EXPO // APRIL 25-26, 2025 // SPRINGFIELD, MO

Home Page - SMORR

Last year's trip report:

Neither Moore nor SMORR will disappoint. Its a good time and "85 & Crew" are fun to hang out with.

My vacation time is pretty much all spoken for until the end of 2025. I even had to make some adjustments because of a couple unit exercises and inspections that are planned.

MOORE sent this in an email:

Are you ready to test your skills, explore breathtaking landscapes, and connect with fellow adventurers?

The Midwest Discovery Route, presented by Midland Radio, is your gateway to a 300-mile scenic backroad adventure.

Starting from Kansas City, St. Louis, Tulsa, or Little Rock, your expertly mapped route will include historic landmarks, creek crossings, ferry rides, and hidden checkpoints. This isn’t just a drive—it’s a test of navigation, teamwork, and determination.

The best part? Each route brings you directly to MOORE Expo, the ultimate hub for overlanding enthusiasts.

Adventure is calling! Are you ready to answer?

It really sounds fun, so far we are still in, we hope to do the KC route.

If that's anywhere near as good as their "shortcut" from SMORR last year, it will be awesome

It should be more, it is about 3hrs from kc to Springfield on the interstate. The route thing last year was like 3-4hrs at trail speed.

If it takes a 1st Gen ranger to get there, the crowds will be very small.

So how long did it take you? 5-6 hrs?

You know the guy?!
