Farm and Garden

EXACTLY! It's not all work and no play either.

He converted the hayloft inside the barn and made it into a basketball court. The kids can come in the summer time and camp out in the woods. He set up a cross country run/fitness trail, a bird blind nature observation center. He built a wood fired pizza oven which they love. He works very hard, but he's got the best job in the world.

The chickens are making a comeback after 3 months of barely any eggs. These things should be gold with the way retail prices are headed.

He is a Montessori school teacher. The kids come and help work on the farm. They actually slow down the work, but he's getting paid. You might like this picture of a tree "house" which we built. It's big enough to hold classes there when the weather is good.

I always thought the theory behind the Montessori school was excellent. Really helps prepare people to exist in the real world instead of in the vacuum of the education system.

I think they call it consequential learning. Either you get a great big pumpkin or you do not. It's all your doing, not the teacher's.

The farm makes plenty of sense, so do their field trips. You learn about something like the Battle of Gettysburg, then you all get on a bus and drive there.

Makes sense when you say it that way.

i went to one in grade school, and looking back, it seems to be structured more like a job the school.
Opposed to a regular public school. Guy in the front of the room says 2+2, people in the back of the room say 4. Type deal.

Most schools are pretty good, but it all seems to depend on the principal. I once taught grade school. One was in a rich nieghborhood. The kids were all brats. I taught in a poor niehborhood where there was a lot of crime. The kids were wonderful and so were the teachers. Disciplinary problems were rare. My son's school has gone through its phases too, depending on who was boss.

Moved the rear blade to its off-season storage spot, put the grill guard/hitch on the front of my new to me ‘52 8N. need to paint it, funny thing is when I got it for the 2000 it was painted red & I changed it to match the tractor it was going on. I will probably paint it black later rather than go back to red. Now to make it better & give it some upgrades.

I see a red Ford
And I want it painted black
No colors anymore
I want them to turn black

Thought it sounded kinda familiar . . .

lovely

I have a question if I may. Why is it that my Stihl MS193T can cut up a chord or two worth of splitting before needing sharpening, regardless is a 12", 14" or 16" chain/bar....Yet my Stihl MS661C can't make more than two cuts before getting dull running a 25" chain/bar?

Im cutting pine, oak and eucalyptus.

Same style of chain?
