Most important things first:
@mikkelstuff
He said what I'm thinking better than I'd ever be able to.
Hope no one around here ever decides to jump on that band wagon. Almost everything I have meets those checks those boxes or will soon. They're all over 10 years old, but the car hasn't broken 200k yet.
I can take any of them anywhere for basic stuff to the extent that those people know what they are doing. I'll still take them to get the tires done at the tire shop with no fuss, even on the '68. Anyone will do alignments on any of them if they have the knowledge, but it's very lacking in some places even for the newer stuff.
The only problem I've had is oil changes on the '10 Forte. They refuse to pull the drain plug and will only do vacuum extraction, which is unacceptable for me. They claim that it has a composite oil pan and it might disentegrate if they remove it, all allegedly company policy. I've changed the oil on that car myself, just ake it in because of how close to the ground it is, and can say for certain that it is a steel oil pan with a steel drain plug. Only reason the oil drain plug in it is getting messed up is because they cross thread it. Needless to say, I'm doing my own oil changes in it now too.
You say that, but your story suggests otherwise. There may be some issued with getting them to communicate, but it also sounds like the printers themselves have issues.
