What did YOU do today?

goats also eat poison ivy with no ill effects. is the property over grown?

It’s not overgrown, but most of the stuff around here looks like Better Homes and Gardens, literally. It hasn’t been Updated in 30 years. They keep it trimmed, but it’s trimming the weeds….

I went to Walmart. And got ID’d for the first time.
The reason? Fuel injector cleaner. That’s right, I got ID’d for a fuel additive.
I have so many questions I won’t ask.

Maybe it has an ingredient with the letters "meth" in the name. I don't recommend drinking it.

Does it work pretty good for you?

shoveled some snow and the finished with the snow blower around the neighborhood, got about 10 inches.

75 today, 100% humidity, that ugly precipitation that’s not really a mist but it’s not really rain.

No snow here, but when Lincoln and I went to the Kroger to get some milk and fried chicken, I noticed the neighbor two doors down has his Christmas lights up. Made me wonder if the goats are really part of some kind of Christmas manger scene for the church.

The first time I used it, yes it definitely seemed to help. Now I run it through every 5k or so just as a preventative measure, with no noticeable improvement.

I wasn’t talking about in the engine. Dot dot

Got stuck in traffic for a dumb amount of time, missed one thing I was going to do but ended up home earlier than expected because of that so I got some of the T111 that was on the back of the garage and moved it to the shop to use for the woodshed... then installed the wall I worked on on Friday, it's up at least but have another step or two that aren't as complicated.

From here, not sure, probably cleaning, it's going to be a busy winter in the shop and house since I'm hoping to replace the majority of the kitchen counters on turkey day weekend then the inlaws are coming over after Christmas through New Years to help with the loft for the shop... the house and the shop are a mess so yeah...

Not what I did, it just plopped in my lap

I live in a pretty nice subdivision on the edge of the city, not bragging, just important to the story.. The difference between Atlanta and New York/New Jersey, where I came from, is New York is in the middle of a whole bunch of other big cities, so if you go out in the middle of the country, people still have a kind of city attitude.

Atlanta is the opposite. It’s big city with hundreds of miles of country all around it. You can take the folks out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the folks.

The church owns the little house across the street from me. They’re sprucing it up, and they’re going to redo the landscaping. So they brought in the lawn mowers…

I can’t ever remember the neighbors bringing in a half a dozen goats when I lived up north…:

That's awesome! Back home there were people that advertised this as a service; they would bring their goats to clear your vegetation. I'd get some if the town I live in allowed it.

Yesterday we brought Diesel in to get fixed, but found out he has hookworms and anemia so bad they wouldn't do the surgery. It wasn't too surprising and I kind of expected it to be honest. He has to get dewormed again and some supplements for the anemia and hopefully it will clear up in a few weeks so he can go get fixed. In the meantime he doesn't seem to be having any trouble adjusting!

Went for a drive with the ranger trailer & brought home some straw to put in the chicken run, stopped at my parents on the way home. Dad has been on oxygen for quite a while now, breathing heavily most of the time. He was in the middle of replacing a kitchen sink fixture & had to take a break. So I finished that up & also changed out a shower head for him.

my buddy & I went pheasant hunting, a bit to warm for my pal but...............................

Went to my brothers at first light to look for deer, nothing but a couple squirrels, chipmunks and some birds... then went to work and got a couple things done but left early which was a good thing as 15 minutes before dark I saw a doe and 15' behind her was a spork (spike by fork for those not up on technicals :)) at like 40 yards... Finally got my first deer, conveniently I was able to drive the '97 Ranger up to it to gut it by headlights, didn't do too bad for my first time (I've seen my buddy do it before, I got the concept), I've helped skin before and skinned smaller animals... Between all that and hosing it out then hosing the ranger out then hanging it then pulling the camper off the F350 (need it tomorrow morning) then skinning it then the cleanup (didn't have a tarp or anything good handy to put under it...) it's been a busy evening...
