So what diesel engine that can take vegetable oil can I pop in my 93 B3000?

humvee. om series benz. cummins. isuzu. alh vw.... just a few that are regularly done.

i wouldn't waste time with veg oil though unless you have a fixed supply of high quality oil.

it is ridiculously difficult. not cost effective. engine and tranmission and hydraulic fluid otoh...

Well I'm sure you can get it for free or even get paid to pick it up and couldn't you clean it up, filter it somehow? I've barely read up on it but apparently people use it.

For anyone who drives for a living it's gotta be huge and at least pay for any new engines needing swapped in + labor etc

just depends on where you live.

never happen for those not tuned into it.

i have been doing it for decades and learned the hard way free oil is not free.

in Michigan you have to get a license to haul dead animals and most of the restaurants were stepped on and confused when pressed by our rendering lobby and were locking thier bins for ahwile there in the mid to late 2000s.

regardless cleaning up and ph balancing and titration are time consuming and the waste is a major pia. this is all simple in concepts but execution requires time and money. fuel has to exceed 4.50 gal for me to even think about it.

they took over after utah biodiesel retired. they have a bad ass centrifuge for about 1700 dollars... you want that and heater sources.

wvo is a painful joke if you are gainfully employed and work 40 plus hours per week and live north of the mason dixon..OR...there is more then 20 people in your area competing for it. i was paying close to a dollar a gallon for a bit when experimenting with it back when i was driving my personal vehicles 50 to 100k per year when gas hit 5 dollars per gallon the first time ... and wvo its a backup to be certain short term... but you tell me how much vegetable oil costs per gallon new ... and there is NOT alot available for most people.
