I've been having trouble getting the radio/heater control bezel away from the face of the dash no matter what I try to do - the bezel was free after taking the 2 screws out of the bottom but something was holding the radio in there solid - finally the bezel cracked and then I tried even harder finally breaking off the entire top of the bezel that holds the air/heat vents in - once that piece & the vents were gone, I found what you can see in the photos - now keep in mind whoever did this left the radio & bezel looking perfect looking at it from the front seats - I can see how the popsicles stick, the pieces of strap metal & the pounds of 2 part epoxy all in there but really have no idea how he was able to finally attach the mechanic's wire from the radio to the vent box - the best I can guess is that he broke off all of the posts (which were gone) and this was the extreme measure that someone will go to instead of buying a new bezel

That is pretty extreme for what should've been a common part. Maybe it's rarer than I thought.

Thats impressive! The one in my truck had the cig lighter port broken through but was otherwise OK. I found one at the pick and pull for a couple bucks in much better shape than mine.

That’s a $5 part at my local u-pull. A tube of JB weld is twice that. I wouldn’t even want to guess what popsicles cost.
