For Sale '02 explorer coming up for sale

Ok, it's not mine. I don't have the money to buy it. But a co-worker's step-dad just died and his 02 Eddie Bauer Explorer is going to be sold. Co-worker says $1000. It runs. Leather seats are showing wear. I can get more details or put you in contact with Billy. Cheap way for someone to get a V8 donor vehicle or possibly even a good DD Explorer. It's in Wellford, SC, just about 2 miles from my house. I don't have pictures yet.

I don't know how fast it can be sold. They probably have to settle the man's estate (probate?) before it can be sold.

Hasn’t gone through probate yet, as far as I know. When I figured out it’s 4.6l instead of 5.0l, I lost interest. It is rwd. I have seen it in person, but I only saw the exterior. In my opinion, it’s well worth $1,000. It just isn’t what I want. I think Billy said Probate will probably clear around October some time.

Yup, that generation of V8 Explorers were 4.6L. The cool thing about them is that they have an aluminum block. Big weight savings if you can fit it into your hot rod.
