TRS Event TRS 25th Anniversary Fall Adventure - Land Between The Lakes - September 5th – 8th, 2024

My dad is planning to head down with Justin and stay over in Stanton for a day or 2 before heading over to LBL. Want to see if he can house some of the cold food?

I appreciate the offer... but I already made some arrangements to pick stuff up on Thursday.

I’m still kind of the newbie, but my feeling is if you’re doing work, you get to call the schedule. I think most folks just want to know a little in advance so they can plan, especially the campers.

For me, I’ve been drooling at the mouth for a pizza for about three years. I’m not supposed to eat them. If I’m there, and I have some, hopefully it will put off that desire for a while. And if I miss it, I’ll tell my doctor “they had pizza, but I didn’t eat any!”
I’m a type 2 and I shouldn’t have pizza either, but I don’t let that stop me.

I'm of the mind that for pizza night... the more the merrier. It also doesn't make any difference to me when.

It almost seems Saturday evening might be better.

What say you @ericbphoto

I'm flexible. But I like Saturday night. It's a good way to celebrate a couple days of fun.

Saturday is now officially pizza night.

Yeah, but you get New York New Jersey pizza. Not the cardboard and red paint we get down here.

Oh, come on. There has to be at least one decent pizza place around Atlanta.

I was going to save this as a surprise. But, why not share? This year's scavenger hunt trophy is complete and the "Rules & Clues" scrolls have been printed.

I just reserved a hotel about 20 minutes away for Friday night and Saturday night. I’ll probably arrive at the event mid afternoon Friday, be with you guys through Saturday night for sure, and maybe Sunday morning. head out on Sunday.

Is there a schedule of events? I’m not trying to create more work, just trying to plan. No biggie if there’s nothing you can send.

I’m looking forward to it!

In the past, there has been a general plan, but nothing set in stone.

There was an off road adventure one day, I think it was Thursday while I was still driving in.

Some did the scavenger hunt over Thursday and Friday, or was it Friday and Saturday?

85 and the family did some site seeing for/with the boy.

There was some site seeing as a group.

And Jim and TN did and adhoc trail ride that looked like it would be too much at too late in the day for me and 97 to participate in. We might have struggled through, with some help (based on video and pictures) but, like I said, it was fairly late in the day and it ended up being a long run without us holding them up. 97 and I decided to check out the buffalo and elk park instead before returning to camp.

There was breakfast, courtesy of 85 and the Mrs on Saturday and pizza provided by Uncle Gump and crew that night.

I expect it will be pretty much the same this year. A little something for everyone.

I'll have the 2019 this year (rear locker and mud tires). So, if Jim and TN want to try that trail again, I'll be ready.

That’s what I would expect from somebody from South Carolina

The Scavenger Hunt is self-directed. Rules & Clues will be available beginning at 5:00pm Thursday night. You have 48 hours (5:00pm Thursday thru 5:00pm Saturday) to accumulate as many points as possible.

Your logic is illogical.
Here’s my logic…

Even bad NY/NJ pizza is better than good Atlanta pizza. This observation is based purely on scientific research: The wife has relatives in Marietta, GA (north of Atlanta) and we’ve spent a good amount of time there. We’ve tried to eat pizza there, it’s just not good. Plus, these relatives grew up in NJ and say the same thing about the pizza.

NOW you have logical logic.

Before, it was just the aimless rant of a New Jersey resident who has to go to NYC for decent pizza and displayed no connection to the Atlanta Pizza scene.

I can confirm there are 2 good pizza places in the Greenville, SC area. I haven't done exhaustive research in Atlanta yet.
