You ever hear "around the world with the rubber duck"? Its kind of a sequel to convoy. Story goes that the record label pushed him to do it to captialize on the success of convoy. He didnt wanna do it so he made it ridiculious. Its really an absurd song but hilarious at the same time.
Havent heard that oneI haven't heard that one.
His song "Nishnabotna" pretty much sums up my childhood though. Its a basically a creek where he is from and it is a decentish sized river by me but I spent many summers playing in various creeks basically doing the same thing. It is also silly but is from the viewpoint of a kid and it fits.
Willin' was a Lillte Feat song writen by Lowell George.I like it, too. It's an oldie but I've always loved " Willin " by Seatrain. They're " Orange Blossom Special " ain't bad either.
Are you talking driving songs, or songs about vehicles?
Can't say I have a favorite for either, but there are a lot of good ones. Many have already been listed but a few stand out to me for not being mentioned.
About cars:
Lowrider - War
Dragula - Rob Zombie
Black Sunshine - White Zombie
Red Barchetta - Rush
Mercury Blues - Alan Jackson (cover)
About driving:
East bound and down - Jerry Reed
Fuel - Metallica
Jerry was a Race Car Driver - Primus
Distance - Cake
About both(?):
Fun, Fun, Fun - The Beetles
Beep Beep - various (annoying but classic)
You're right, not sure how I messed that up. It's fixed now.FYI.....Fun, Fun, Fun, is/was by the Beach Boys
Roadhouse blues by the Doors.....
