I have a 97 B2300 manual.
Replaced timing belt.
Ran great for a month, but a skip that was always present got a bit worse.

Started stalling at lights and felt like power loss. 2 days of this and the 3rd morning no crank.

Fuel pump near new. Can hear it just fine. New TPS, IAV, MAF and both O2s all at once. All 3 new relays.

Tested with starter fluid just before typing this and it fires off starter fluid.

Can't pull codes because erased from too many battery pulls and recharges.
Last codes were all egr, o2 and stuff.

I have not replaced EGR (it's a pain), not the EGR sensor or whatever that rectangular block is on the passenger side close to firewall.

I have a multimeter, but am not handy with it, so get specific with settings if we need that, please.

Thanks for....anything

Fuel pump being new might be a clue. New parts are not very good lately. I would get a fuel pressure tester and hook it to the test port on the fuel rail and see what fuel pressure you have sitting just bumping the key, and then cranking.

I hate to admit I've been wondering
, but I had my kid turn it over while I stood by tank, after I heard the motor I disregarded

Around 37-38 psi. And it should maintain this pressure under all driving conditions, and go a little higher when you work the engine hard.

I read that wrong. My truck won't crank. Only turn over. It only fires over one the burst of starter fluid but shuts right down. There's no way to test while running

Ahhhh 😄 🤣 😂 fair enough.
So just turning it over should produce that range. Got it.
Thank you.
Will check back in after I test it.

Just key on should produce pressure but it'll go away over time, I can never remember the Ford fuel pressure but it's highest with the key on engine off or the reference line on the regulator removed and lowers with engine vacuum, IE lowest pressure is idle in normal conditions...

I deal with phone calls from all over the country, this is NOT the first time I've heard "it'll crank but it won't crank" :), I think it's a southeast thing...
