This Ranger has never been off-roaded and was purchased brand new by my brother in 2002 who passed away last year, so it's a single owner car until ownership was transferred to me. Most importantly NO RUST.

Price and location?

I've got it up on Craigslist for $11K (but I'm open to reasonable offers) I wouldn't want to dip much lower. I got people contacting me out of the blue saying "It's only worth $7 tops" but it's an all original 2002 FX4 with zero off-road use.

P.S. those are the stock Alcoa 15" rims that came with every FX4 in 2002 from what I understand.

Hi, thanks for your question. The reason I called it the prototype for the level II is because of the Car and Driver and Motor Trend articles published at the time explaining the 2002 FX4 new engineering and off-road package as the standard for that model year. The subsequent models from 2003-2008 had to be badged as "Level II's" if they were based upon the 2002 FX4 build standard.

P.S. It has 166K (easy) miles on it. My brother (the original owner) drove like a little old lady. and it's a 5R55W Auto 5 speed W/OD. I also changed all of the fluids (trans/diff/engine) when I took possession.

Yes, but people like to say "The 2002 FX4 is not a Level II" but in reality it is THE Level II.
