Where is the Edge decal? Did some come without it or maybe it was removed? It has the body color bumper that an Edge has. In one photo it looks like I can see the torsion bar for the front suspension. So, it is most likely an Edge.

One thing that doesn't make sense is, in a couple places it states it has a V6 DOHC with 32 valves. Later, in Options and Standard features it verifies it has a V6 SOHC with 2 valves per cylinder. That is what is shown in the pictures too.

They are asking a lot, but it is a low mileage, very nice Ranger. It is still 22 years old though and not exactly what I would call a classic.

I don't think it's an Edge. AFAIK, Edge models only came in RWD. This one has 4X4 Off Road stickers on the bed and the shift knob for the transfer case on the dash next to the radio.

The cover on the engine over the throttle body says it's a 4.0 SOHC.

It's a nice truck and in great condition but nothing to write home about or demand that kind of asking price.

Not unless mine’s a fake- I have an Edge Plus 4x4. They are simply just rare.

Between the vinyl floor and the Carfax saying edge, I'm inclined to beleive that it is one. The missing decals, wrong bed rail covers, make me thing that there are some non-original parts or paint. Maybe an unreported accident?

Yep- The vinyl floor, color-keyed bumper, and the honeycomb grille are all specific to the edge model. Odd how it has the decals removed, I really like mine- makes the truck stand out.

Plus my license plate is 0NTHEDGE so I kinda need them to keep the joke going.... lol

In 2002, I know the Edge models did come in 4WD as well as 2WD. That was when I was in searching for my FX4 and saw the Edge models in my brochure.

2001-2003 all 4x4s had the honeycomb grill whether they were Edge or not. It's possible that only the Edges had a black honeycome grill while rest had gray, but I haven;t seen enough examples of either that weren't sun faded to make a determination.

I'm pretty certain that color matched bumper was an option on most trim levels as well. Black standard for base models (XL), chrome standard for XLT, painted standard for edge. Color matched an option on all. Never know what options the dealer might select to park on their lot.

It sure looks like an Edge, most Edge's were 3.0 and 2wd.

I stand corrected- I didn't know about the grille.

The bumper may be true as well, but every color matched one I've seen has been on an Edge.
