Need help with my 94 manual transmission

Hi all,
I am sorry to post this here, but I dropped the transmission/case to replace the concentric slave cylinder and check things out. 4th gear was a bit noisy and a little “challenging,” noisy to engage, after getting it back from a “moving experience.” Preliminary examination shows at oil drain plug, 2 metal gear pieces, insert key,and a piece of synchronizing blocking spring stuck to the magnet. Removed the upper shift assembly and found 4th gear synchronizer missing pieces.
I need to replace it and refresh the tranny. Any advice on a good supplier of parts to Canada?

Hi Wpginterceptor,
I have been looking at kijiji locally and haven’t found any 4x4 transmissions. Maybe I am not searching for the right stuff. I have transmission on the bench and the service manual in hand. I have an order into Allstate Gear for a refresh kit and slider, so I hope I can get back on the road in good time.

eBay is excellent if you have part numbers for what you need. Motive Gear and USA Standard Gear both sell M5OD parts and there are several sellers on eBay that list them. Not sure if they will ship to Canada though. RockAuto is also a good source.

Put an ad out on Kijiji for a repair person.. On my muscle car I had issues.. found a Retired old man on kijiji who took my tranny and rebuilt it

Further, I have some parts coming in but I can't get the shims in case my front retainer and hence input shaft is not shimmed correctly.
I enjoy doing things myself and learning other things.
