New tools you've bought recently?

All great but absolutely no room to swing pliers under my 2002 Ranger 4WD 3.0L. I find it easiest to reach over the left front tire and under the fender well to reach the filter. This still requires a flex socket connector between the ratchet extension and the filter removal cap.
My 2000 with the 3.0 was definitely difficult to do the filter. I took to just putting on a set of grippy gloves and manhandle the filter on and off by reaching in from up top. Of course, that method does require a level of grip strength that may not be manageable at some point…

My custom U-joint and bushing driver set. Have two of these now, lol

Bought the Gear Wrench strap oil filter tool. This better work!

Don't buy this. Returning to Amazon. There is no way to use this in a tight place. Must be held with one hand while turning wrench. Also made wrong. I would have thought webbing would have been attached to the loop and wound up around the central core. Nope! Webbing is loosely attached around the central core. Then a ratchet turns the loop to tighten the webbing. A very bad design - my opinion.

Bought a used OTC 12" chain wrench off e-bucks. Don't know why I've never had one in my tool collection. I need to string some 30 feet of 1/2" iron pipe for compressed air. This will be much better than working two pipe wrenches.

Back when my dad was young and learning plumbing (later on had a masters license) he worked with this big brawny man. He said that guy would take two pliers and tighten the joints with them. My dad would have to get pipe wrenches out to break them loose.

I got that gear strap wrench for work for a filter that was factory installed, used 1/2 ratchet along with a 18 inch cheater it started sliding so put abrasive pad under the strap and finally got it to break loose.

I got this a while ago but didn't think to post it. This is a tapered reamer that fits most ball joints. Cleans up the hole and helps lock the tapers together.

An adapter for my ratcheting screwdriver that permits me to torque dinky little baby screws from 5 to 25 inch pounds (worth it's weight in Au, assembling a firearm).

I really dislike having to assemble my own freedom.. all those damn springs and roll pins and little detents flying everywhere 😫😫

My order for the Tekton flex head ratcheting wrenches got canceled due to out of stock/ discontinued. Being replaced with a different style. I bought these Lang ones instead, made in USA. Still might get some Tekton ones when they release the new design, have to see.

Do you use it to bring home hefties from the bar?
No sir. Mostly for lifting heavy crap around the shop, retrieving the dumpster from the parking lot (instead of carrying stuff to the dumpster), and chasing the Canadian geese out of my parking lot.

Love having a forklift at the shop. Wish I had one at the house but there is no pavement, and an off-road telahandler is out of budget. To be fair, a regular forklift is also out of budget for the house as well.
