i cleaned my intake manifold when i changed my spark plugs and the after effect is great. I used STP throttle body cleaner and sprayed all the intake pieces that had an oil residue. I have a Throttle Body Spacer so it kinda whistles around 2500 RPM's but now after i cleaned it it whistles just idling. Some guy at autozone asked me if i had a turbo. So if you have some spare time clean your intake manifold

Where Did You Get The Throttle Body Spacer? I Need One.

Need one?

They are a useless peice of metal that "they" sell for $100.

It does nothing for a SFI engine.....

Other than make idiots think you have a turbo! ;missingteeth;

Hmmm...maybe you could market them to the ricer crowd as "turbo effects"...

"Why race em when you can scare em into thinking your car is hotter than it really is?"...

Do I hear a loud resounding "CHA CHING"...

So what exactly does this do? Anything for the power?

Cleaning the intake...not the whistler thing LOL.

your too late:

tailpipe turbo

but yes, cleaning your intake does help. the best (not the easiest) way is to remove it and flush it with gasoline...did this with both the ranger and the escort while i had the heads off both.
