New tools you've bought recently?

Well, my Deutsch DT connector sets came today. Still waiting on the crimp tools.

They come with that nice tray or was that a HD special.

I got one from HD years ago that looked almost the same, except it was two sided.

They came in those trays, eBay special, they’re marked Deutsch, but for as cheap as they were, may be knock-offs. May be legit though. Either way, they will work. I ordered two sets, that’s why two trays. I’m gonna get some bin dividers and stuff and put those and my Weatherpack stuff into two Milwaukee Packout organizers. Since I do some vehicle wiring, boat wiring and trailer wiring, I’ve put most of my electrical gear into a Packout set for portability. Those trays are awkward compared to the Packout.

They look like nice trays. If you're not going to keep/use them, I'd give you a few bucks for them. Bring them to Carlisle or Land Between the Lakes.

In other words, if you wanna get some money, you are going to have to spend some.

Maybe he's planning on being at one of those events anyway. He's mentioned it. If not, no big deal.

I was thinking of trying to find a use for them, but if I don’t you’re welcome to them

I’d like to do both events. Just need my Ranger up and things to work out for a change.

You are welcome to come along for the ride. I have more than enough tents and covered hammocks to pick from.

I know, both you an @JohnnyO offered me rides so as long as I can make things work with whatever is going on at the time, I got a way to get there and I do greatly appreciate that and will take you guys up on it if needed.

But damnit, I want my Ranger fixed, lol

M14 is too small for that.
checked out a used tie rod end for a 2000, 14 x 1.5 is the thread in the hole. so is the thread on the stud.

Sooo,, now I have 14x2, 14x1.25, 14x1 but alas, no 14x1.5

that's as good of an excuse as any to buy more tools, gotta have a complete set, right?:icon_thumby:

Not new but a work in progress, got the welding cart to a usable state tonight! Picked up this welding cart at an auction about 2 years ago for like $55 with the mill vise and casters on it, earlier this month I got the gas bottles finally to switch to solid core wire and have the ability to use my spool gun and TIG capabilities of the Titanium Unlimited 200... so finally time to rework the cart... Started by cutting the top of the bottle area off and lifting it 14" to make room for the giant bottles, then flattened it and hinged it for reattachment, will drill/tap for short 3/8" bolts in the front corners (these big bottles are heavy, don't always want to lift by hand...). Then I made a sheet metal back panel behind the bench portion so sparks and spatter don't go to the tanks, hoses and wires as bad... then tonight I cut out the pieces on the bottom of the bottle area they had for their tiny bottles... I think there's enough room on the welder shelf for my plasma cutter too, I'm gonna box in the bottom area for welding helmet and consumables and so forth and add a place to stick my 50' welder extension cord on the back... that 4' power strip will be mounted on one of the uprights to make grinding easier... Ok, here it is:

Bought some pliers for doing crimps at work. The boss paid after I let him know his crimp pliers are crap!

Have had a pair of ChannelLock Crimping Dykes since the 1980s;
one of my favorite basic tools.

I have two of those and two (very similar but much older) Thomas Betts & Co. crimpers
