8.8 Diff covers?

Are the 8.8 Diff covers coming back this fall sometime? I would like to get a metal one instead of the shitty ass plastic cover. Any mods know? pls let me know as Id like to order one up.

Not the answer to your question but pressed steel covers do exist, they were on mercury marquis with the 8.8. Don't know what year though.

I grabbed an 8.8 from a 92 2wd explorer (to put in my ranger) and it had a stamped steel cover.

I recently had some 1/4" steel pieces cut at a shop that has done work for me before including cutting the pieces for the heavy duty diff covers I've sold here before. I haven't been able to find the drawings for them and checked with the shop. They had the drawings and can still cut the pieces for me. I want to get some cut but I don't have the extra cash to invest because I got hit with a $1,300 insurance bill.

I need to get some cash to get one made and get the process started again. I had intended to offer them again this fall until the insurance thing came up.

The good thing is my rates should come down a lot when my insurance is due 6-months from now.
