Thought you guys might be interested seeing this...

HA, thats awesome. I have read about them but that makes it seem real haha. seems weird Ford abandoned the idea when it was going over so well, I can only imagine that they are kicking themselves just a little bit with gas costing what it does.

i wonder if this is the one that i've seen on ebay. i seem to remember that one saying it belonged to a utility company. although i bet a lot of them were owned by power companies and the like...

This isn't an EV he made. It was made at the factory.

Except I thought they were all leases, so this one wouldn't be his to sell.

Somebody that had one on ebay said Ford sold the ones they hadn't crushed, and that is how they got them to sell. Dunno if there is any truth to it or not but it would be easy to check the VIN.

yeah, and even in the craigslist ad it says the same thing. most were crushed after the lease end but some were sold.

Would be nice to own one. Preferably a 2001 model, I like the front-end looks better. Even with a 60-mile range, I would never have to fill up at the pump again for my daily commute to work. Maybe Ford might try to bring it back, except with Li-Ion or Li-Poly batteries (very shallow wishful thinking).

That is a bitchin truck, I'd drive it. My daily commute is about 15 miles total and I could plug it into the side of the building.

Let's hope that Ford makes a T6 electric. Chevy is already advertising the Volt, so it can't be far off that Ford will come out with some electric vehicle.
