What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?

Washed, pre wax cleaned and waxed the truck. (Only use Zymol products) Just about to turn 60k miles. Going to drive my 250 for a few days give this truck a look over before warranty expires. At least it looks good! Need some spray ceramic to help repel water but for now ok.

On a second note you will need an alignment either way. If you take the bottom control arm just take a sharpie and mark the original settings on the cam bolt before you remove it so you can get it back to close.
I thought of that but wasn't sure what the odds would be of getting it back together. Like I said, I don't have the luxury of being able to finish it tomorrow.

I feel you there. I done mine at the shop and was about to just slap it back together because I too only have 1 ride haha. But had a guy from the body shop next door recommend loosening the wheel nut. Bingo got it back together

@sgtsandman had a torque wrench big enough for the axle nut, it takes like 210 ft lb, but we didn't think that was thee problem as the lower control arm was down as far as it would go anyway and we even had a spring compressor. Bolts were still stuck on the coil bucket and we could have pried it out but the issue was going to be getting it back in either with or without the spacer.

Yeah I thought that too but it dropped quite a bit after I loosened it or basically removed it. Then screwed it back on about 2 turns. Also I do remember having to pull the bottom of the strut out first then drop the top out. And vice versa going back in.

We're getting pretty proficient at tearing and reassembling your front suspension if you want to give it a go. Your call though. First thing is first, I would need to make sure I have the right size socket in the spindle nut socket kit before we went any further.

Did you try pulling the bottom of the strut out first then dropping it down?

Only the top since the studs were shorter up top.

Edit: The concern was we would only just barely get the strut out and in without the spacer. We didn't want to chance not being able to get the strut back in with the spacer installed.

Just be careful. Some people have separated the cv axle prying on the control arm. That's why I loosened the wheel nut.

Looks way easier. Wished I'd seen this before I did mine.

Thanks but I think I'll just take it to the alignment shop near my work.

In the middle of putting on a coat of wax since it's unseasonably warm today. Last chance before winter.

I washed mine the other day. She's got some good dingers in it now after all the wheeling it's seen recently.

Those are beauty marks. Haha
