"Necessity is the mother of invention"
I think all of human history tells us that people can do very good things AND very bad things

But that's the process, necessity
A lot of advancements came from wars, necessity, thru out human history
Commerce pushes advancement, greed can be a good thing in moderation, but also starts wars, lol
I wouldn't sell us short on the 2035 thing, "impossible" goals are good drivers of necessity
New combinations of materials are showing promise for fast charging batteries
Hydrogen is still an option, for ICE or fuel cell/electric
And a little farther down the road
A graviton is a theoretical "particle" of Gravity
We know there is Gravity, lol, each time we trip or drop something on our foot
We just don't know how it works, at this time
Limitless power if you can harness Gravity
Fussion, what the Sun does, combines Hydrogen to make Helium, think of all the free balloons and the funny voices we could do, and of course lots and lots of power, and no radioactive waste like our current Fission power
