Transfer Case Linkage

Can anyone post a few pictures of a manual shift transfer case shift linkage set up? Not sure I have all that I need. Thanks.

It breaks down further but yes that’s it aside from one bolt you see is not in the hole. This one will fit the A4LD or the Fm146 Or M50D. The Fm145 is shorter.

So I believe the bracket on the transfer case itself, with the stud that goes in that poly bushing is too short on mine. Was there a difference in those? Sorry I should have clarified more. Thanks in advance.

Seems to me that there exists an early version of the BW1350 transfer case that has a different shift lever than later builds. Found this out here in a thread. I think 83 and early 84 but I’m not sure. Different clocking position. What transfer case are you using? I can try to find that thread if you think it may be relevant
Edit: you say too short? Forward Or laterally? A shifter from an fm145 transmission is shorter than the other transmissions. Meaning a transmission swap to the latter would make shift lever not reach the transfer case.

So I have an 88 with an A4LD that had push button shift 4wd I got a transfer case from a junkyard (manual shift) unknown what it came out of but was attached to a manual trans case.. when I engage 2wd it seems the two separate length ways (forward)

Yup. The early transfer cases used a shorter arm and the front plate used standard thread bolts to attach it to the trans. I ran into one of them once.

Do you have a pic of your shifter. Does the arm look like mine with soft curve or does the arm have hard 90• turns? The hard 90 is for an fm145 trans.

Here is a picture of a F145 shifter.. The one your showing should fit the fm146 , AOD or the M series 5 speed with the 1350 Transfer case. I have an 84 out back with what I believe to be a C-5. I am getting ready to pull the transfer case and both shifters. Will post a picture of that shifter if you still need to see it. I recently changed a 90 ranger from the AOD to a 93 5 speed from a 4.0 . Everything from the 90 hooked up with no problems.
