My thoughts with the RV idea was that it’s cheaper to own than a tow rig and camper, or more precisely two tow rigs and a camper. I’ll still sleep in a tent, but I’m not getting younger and a more comfortable bed away from home has an appeal. Plus even when I’m not going off-roading, I could use it to take vacation trips places, even just a weekend trip. I had a German Shepherd that had serious separation anxiety, but traveled extremely well. Not all hotels are accommodating to pets and a lot around this area that are, want to charge extra (up to $100 per night) for a dog. With an RV, I don’t have that hassle. So after thinking it through, it’s a worthy thing for my situationThe RV for the trail rig makes a lot of sense for sure. Just a lot to maintain and they do not like the outdoors. That autotrader price is what made my mind start wondering, mine is a gasser but all the ones I see for sale are 40+ with 3+ times the miles...
