Livvy wouldn't let me finish watching the race. She had had enough of the Boise and crowds. They re-arranged the course for round 2 and it just added a faster, steeper route to the top. Those races are insane.

Windrock is awesome. I drove about 50 miles in the park in 2 days and barely scratched the surface. I wanted to try one or two black trails. But in reality, being by myself, some of the blue trails were almost more than I could handle. Now, to go home and spend some winter days cleaning, inspecting, lubing and probably repairing. This Ranger is awesome and continues to surprise me with what it can do.

Tomorrow morning, we put her back on the trailer to go home.

This is pretty decent calendar photo if you can lose the telephone pole. I'd rather see a dirty truck than one that's all dolled up. Then you know it's 'used' and not garage art

great vid. looks like the trails were fairly straight and level with a few obstacles thrown in... and the trees were not crowding you in.

Deceptive view from just one trail. There is a wide variety of stuff there. I had some time with brush scraping the truck. The park is huge and spans several mountaintops. So in one part of the park, there is a tan/yellow/orange type of rock with layers. Then other areas have granite boulders. There are natural gas wells and also coal. I stayed on green and blue trails. I think I could do some single black diamond trails. But didn't want to tackle them by myself.

It really would be an awesome place for a TRS gathering if enough people wanted to travel that far.

I would but it's about 3 hrs from me so. And we go there already a couple times a year. It is a little steep on the passes. But with 74000 acres you will never see it all in a weekend

Buddy from work was talking about this the other day. He wants to try it on four wheelers, but apparently if you catch it at the wrong time it's impassible due to high (like 8ft) water around the middle.

8ft? I don't know how it could get that deep. I don't think I encountered anything deeper than 20-24". My truck is on 35's. So, the center of my axle, when aired down, is around 16-17". I think one or two spots may have been deep enough for the water to go over my axles. If it were to get around 30-36", it would just freely flow from end to end and drain. Of course, 36" is probably a lot for four-wheelers.

Just go and have fun.

No. I don't do that. All I (my truck) left were some exhaust fumes.

understandable, and respectable. I, myself, would not be able to resist. Not so much as "vandalism" but more of a "I was here, too"

I noticed the speed seemed to pick up a little going through the second tunnel and wormhole came to mind. Wonder what it might look like at 300-400% speed.
