Hi, I have a 92 ranger that was driving fine but the bearing in the middle of the driveshaft needed to be replaced so I did that and marked everything to make sure it went back in the right way and now when I'm first accelerating the truck stutters

When you say studded, can you be more specific?

does it feel like it looses power and surges?

what noises do you hear?

Make sure the slip is greased good and the joints are not binding.

There is a myriad of ways and theories to set the hanger bearing.

So...loosening it up and retorquing may fix it ..

This ASSUMES that the joints are properly phased

It's not like that, its more like I'm drive over small rumble strips for a few seconds when I first accelerate

I didn't grease the slip yoke but it was the reverse yoke where the teeth are on the inside, should I have put grease inside of there? All the joints are good

Yes. Should be greased.

I have really been wanting to say. "He takes off from a stop like a bat out of hell. We're really just talking about axle wrap and wheel hop here."

Theres a joke here about rear end stutter and the old farts on this forum, but I can't seem to find it.

Alright thanks, I'll give it a shot tomorrow! And no lol it does get worse if you really Gun it but unless I'm accelerating really slow you can feel it
