my valve cover gaskets AGAIN!!!! Ughhh, i have deff learned my lesson with cork gaskets. its leaking pretty bad on the pas. side so its not to bad, but im deff goin with rubber this time, and make it the last time!!!

Check your torque. Rubber is better than cork, but without over-torquing, cork will last for a while.

yea back then i didnt have hardly any tools, and i really didnt know that much about it. but now i got it. lol, yea i agree rubber is better than cork!!

A little bit of silicone doesn't hurt either.

lol, you rite, and i got plenty of it!

A little bit goes a long ways, use too much and it can come apart on the inside of the valve cover and go where ever it can fit until it gets stuck somewhere inside your oiling system.

Usually when I do it, I just use a very thin layer on both sides of the gasket and I just snug it up and let the stuff set up a little before I torque it down. Otherwise you just squish it all out.

o i know all that, i was just sayin i got tubes and tubes of it from school. lol

Go with the Fel Pro gaskets, they are great, and Most Auto Parts stores have the Fel-Pro Tourque books that can help you with the torque patterns and specs. The Rubber Fel Pro's will last a long time.

Felpro is the way to go!2 years and no leaks, and i check every week when i check the oil level.Worth the money!

yea i have cork fel pro on there now, i use fel pro for every thing on my truck and my car!
