More Bronco hear say.

I drove my wife’s BS today.
It’s not bad. The 2.0 turbo has good power for a 4cyl. The 8 spd shifts good. I would like a little more power, but I ALWAYS want more power.
It handles good for a SUV. It feels planted and level through turns. I really didn’t test it out too much, the kid was asleep in the back seat. Ill get a chance to really see what it can handle when the wife and kid go on vacation for the next 3 weeks.

I copied this from the internet...

Base Bronco w/Sasquatch. Front and rear lockers on 35's from the factory. Still kinda hard to believe... probably right around 35K.

But SOLID FRONT AXLE!!

The Rubicon has a solid front axle... we all know that you NEED a solid front axle to buy groceries or drive to work.

I will admit I hated everything with IFS, but at the time I was working on plow trucks. Chevy sucked, ford sucked until 98? When they ditched the Dana 44hd TTB for solid axle. Dodge never let go of the solid axle until recently. I love old pre 1993 dodge trucks.

Maybe IFS is better now... I dunno but yea you can't hurt a solid axle, except on a jeep. U-joints fall off, bearings break, it's insane.

'350 received a solid D60 in' 86. '250 in' 99.

I don't mind IFS so much as I DESPISE unit wheel bearings. Sadly they have infiltrated solid axles now too so that is a bit of a wash.

Can you get the bronco without A/C?

On a new jeep it’s a $1500 option. If I’m going to pay $35k for a new truck it better have some mother loving A/C.

I think it is standard.

I assume you mean the three that haven't rusted away to nothing and the interior hasn't completely crumbled to dust.

I see you know nothing about dodge from back in the day. Dodge D/W series and Ramchargers were galvanized. Paint actually fell off cause it didn't stick right to the galvanized metal. Dodge made the most rust proof vehicles at the time. The sno-commander was literally salt proof... No one has ever made a vehicle for the northeast like dodge.

I'd set every ford ranger on fire for a real dodge sno-commander.

When you galvanize a sheet of paper it doesn't matter. That's approximately the thickness of the "metal" they used. If they were so good, why is it that I haven't seen more than one or two in years? Lord knows those Chrysler engines were absolute perfection and ran forever. Right? So if the bodies didn't rust and the engines were stellar, where are they? Oh wait, because the interiors all crumbled to nothing, I guess they had to put them down.

Pre-70's Dodge trucks were decent, but since then and up to about 10-15 years ago, they were junk. I know you're kinda a MOPAR guy at heart, so mostly, I'm just yankin' your chain, but I've also seen my share and really do feel pretty much as I've described. Not a fan of that whole era of Dodge trucks.

I don't know....

This powerboost stuff in a bronco will be an overlanding monster.

The lightening I hope is the home run it needs to be. They will have to over deliver....and the claims they have are definitely sandbagged for what they have tested to.

That will make for a full electric bronco...and expedition beasts.

The powerboost I just got is basically a work truck. But it is an animal... I can't believe how fast it is...and they are scaling this system for most everything.

The 2.7 is killer in the 150. Real good economy. So with a smaller powerboost in a bronco...it will be wild.

A full electric with turn table steering.....with hi capacity ifs and irs...
No one will care about straight axles anymore.... especially with computer capacity wheeling.
