Only the late 90's -early 00's Cobra's had it as far as I know.

which is pretty much a v8 thunderbird rear design with an adapter cradle to bolt it in the stang.you can buy cradles to put it in the older stangs too.

Find a newer Explorer and look under it. You will find an 8.8 IRS. Wife has an 03 Ex and that has a 3.73 with L/S.

Well, I've read up on it a bunch and with prior experience with swapping a carrier and such I think I can handle it, it also helps that I will be able to work on it on the side and take my time because it's not the current axle in my rig.

You could probably get with Joe (Broncman) and I bet he could help you out with setup..
