COLD!

I have been hearing the B word thrown around, not sure if it is grounded in reality or if paranoia.

We are up to -2* right now, after today we turn the corner and get back up into the teens (mid 30's by the weekend) which is fairly seasonal so I guess I don't see what the big deal is.

I think the cold snap is Covid related
Less people are driving around so fewer emissions and less Global Warming

And I'm also going to look up the screws @Dirtman mentions. A lot cheaper than the carbide tipped screws I bought for my old work boots.

That's not a knife...

COLD!

I’m in awe. I’ve travelled the world, but I remain incredibly ignorant. If you had told me studded shoes existed, even that someone made their own, I’d have bought you a drink for such a good joke.

Of course I’m further doubting my sanity as I’m starting to associate with you guys who think this is an okay way to live life!!!

BTW, the little snow plow on the front of the 87 4wd worked great, no snow on my driveway today!!!

Gosh, good luck!

I heard all this snow and cold was Trumps fault... Pelosi is adding it to the pile.

I'm not digging out my spikes... but I have two pair of yak trax I believe. One pair has carbide spikes and the other has like coil springs. They pretty much stretch over any pair of boots I have on at the moment.

😤

Ok, now you’ve gone and done it! County called and cancelled the Redhead’s and my second Covid shots tomorrow cuz the trucks can’t get through cuz you guys can’t keep a couple snowflakes off the road!!

You never tried this?!?!

MOSES PARTS THE SNOW
COLD!

Y’all are going to have to explain it to the Redhead. I’m giving her all y’alls contact info!

I have a pair of those too, I think mine are yak trax. I haven't used them in forever though.

We have Yaktrax at work. They are fine if you are where you can wear them all the time. They are a pain to put on and take off and don't play well on tile or smooth concrete floors.

I like my Stabilicers much better. They still have the same issue with tile and smooth concrete floors but you don't have to fight with them to put them on or remove them. That, and the "studs" are replaceable. Once the coils on the Yaktrax are worn and broken, you have to toss them and buy new ones.

very cold this morning, not sure how cold, I didnt want to look. Put a heat lamp on the allis about 2 am and at 3 fired it up to plow out the drive. It did great but even with gloves my hands were very cold , didnt get frostbite but had to be close. The ranger didnt want to start but did. Ended up taking the escape anyways since she decided not to go to work. Tomorrow will be in the negative numbers. More snow on the way too. was going to clear a spot in the backyard for the dog but was almost too deep for the tractor, let alone dropping a blade. Tricycle front ends dont work well in the snow. May need a allis-B or a 600 series ford as a plowing tractor. Glad the belly mower wasnt on.
