More Bronco hear say.

That may be true of old people where you live but don't dump all us old people into that category. I am 73 and have many friends that are as old or older than me. Guess what, we have computers and smart phones. I can't remember the last time I read a newspaper. That could be because of dementia or it just has been a very long time since I read one. I do admit, I watch TV some and I have seen a Bronco Sport commercial, more than once. Then again I could just be imagining things due to being so old.

Whatever joe...

I am reading a paper and browsing TRS..and janking around with a naughty MAGAzine.....

then I have to get back to the honey do list....

A lot of it is locality based. Maybe you have a smart phone and computer, not everyone does. Which is why I said the area I live in not the whole world.

No you are probably imagining everything, including this post ;). Probably better take your meds HAHA!!!

I wonder if some of the TV ads are regional based too? All I've seen so far are the ads for the Bronco Sport, but if I recall they are ads from local dealerships, not Ford. So I'm wondering why we aren't getting the Ford ads here in Idaho? Maybe because the vehicles haven't hit the lots and because nobody here has ordered any maybe? Its so weird though, usually we get hounded with all the new car ads from about October through May, this year there's been very few from all automakers it seems. I get the ads occasionally on Youtube, but I think I've only seen 1 Bronco ad. Its extremely weird. COVID related maybe? I just find it very weird....we are still getting the stupid Medicare ads from the insurance open enrollment too LOL.

Our local newspaper is a joke anyways, nothing really in it other than news from weeks to months old, so you probably aren't missing anything by not getting the newspaper where you are at either. Everything is really so internet based anymore that by the time you find it on TV or the newspaper its weeks, months, or hell even years old LOL.

Many of our elderly here are extremely low income, fixed income based...so many don't have the smart phones, the computers, internet, etc. Many are lucky to still have a landline, and many don't have cable or satellite TV either here. Its so sad, so many worked so hard through their lives to get old and not have a dang thing in the end. Course there are the few that live here who are quite well off, but sadly they're passing away, some way too soon too. We've been losing a lot of older folks this year, and I'd have to think a lot of it is just pure loneliness as everything around where they like to go is all shut down still due to the COVID restrictions...all of our assisted living and nursing homes are all still locked down, many haven't seen or even heard from their families since last year :(.

I haven't watched live TV for the better part of a year.

Ford is pushing the Bronco hard on youtube ads, I may be being targeted though too.

I wonder if that's the case actually. Although I've been on the Ford site looking at the Bronco's quite a bit recently, I've only seen a Bronco commercial on Youtube once. I have been getting the Bronco Sport commercials for a while on Youtube, and on TV though....maybe the targeting system hasn't caught up to my internet searches yet LOL.

Here in Idaho though, it seems like we are several years behind everywhere else, so maybe that's why the commercials for the new Bronco aren't really hitting us yet IDK, but its very weird, usually we get hit with all the new car commercials every year well usually starting in about October of the previous year into May/June of the current year, so its somewhat strange....course we've still been getting all the Medicare scam commercials from the open season insurance enrollment crap, maybe those are just taking up the cool new vehicle airspace HAHA!!!

Has anyone heard any rumors of timeframe for the regular inventory Broncos to actually start hitting dealer lots? If they're saying 2022 before they even get all the pre-order Broncos built, I'm going to think we may never see them on any of our lots until 2023 which by that time they'll have all sorts of new models and features out making the ones that we finally do get 2 years outdated HAHA!!!

I'm not feeling all that great about these new engines is what really makes me shy away from them. Maybe if they would have done superchargers like the old Nissan Frontier pickups and some of the Toyota pickups maybe, but the turbo stuff just makes me want to run away given all the failure issues they've been dealing with at my aunt's dealership and some customers having to wait for months to get their vehicles fixed, and have gone as far as being able to get their money back and go elsewhere as a result of the ridiculous wait times for repairs and I'm not even sure all of it is COVID related.

They did cut back rollout ... Internal started in March last year.

Sourcing of parts is an unmitigated trainwreck with covid pto

"some may receive 22my vehicles"

Is demand really that high? What about those requesting 22my anyway? "Are they just covering their butts in case more production issues arise (either self inflicted or covid related?)?

It's really hard to say when they hit lots. Markup will be brutal for awhile after that too.

I don't think waiting a couple model years is a bad thing if you can hold out.

Gonna be new stuff coming and many looking to move onto the next big thing.

Should be a used market and Ford should have demand under control by then.

I agree, I wasn't going to rush out and buy one anyways, I'd like to wait a couple years at least, and maybe by that time they'll have some other engine options to choose from, and maybe a few more options for the base models to get them a bit more aggressive for light offroad use without having to go all sasquatch on one LOL.

Usually by a couple years into production they've got some issues worked out of them or at least you'd hope HAHA!! The only other thing I'm wondering, is it really worth the upgrade to the in dash navigation system? Or would my phone be a better way to go and just stick to the more basic radio? I really don't have much use for the navigation system, I really don't go anywhere that I need it most of the time, and the few times I do my phone seems to do just fine, more or less just to see what crossroads there are or landmarks around the place I'm going to make it easier as you are driving to see how close you are getting to your destination. Sometimes street signs are hard to spot covered by trees, bushes, etc. so its kind of nice to see what other streets are close by and/or businesses, or landmarks to give an idea how close I am to where I need to turn. I don't use the turn by turn navigation on my phone just the map.

IMO just get the one that piggyback off your phone. We only got the mid package because the committee decided we have to have remote start (aux switches and dual zone also had an appeal) , I ain't paying for navigation subscriptions.

I don't know how the base and bb radios compare, I wanted automatic 4wd and you can't get that below a BD unless you go sasquatch so I didn't look at them much. .

I do like the heritage wheels, I wish they were a standalone option. Factory options are pretty meh.

Damn it.....I don't want to buy a chevy...

They do make a diesel F-150...
