That may be true of old people where you live but don't dump all us old people into that category. I am 73 and have many friends that are as old or older than me. Guess what, we have computers and smart phones. I can't remember the last time I read a newspaper. That could be because of dementia or it just has been a very long time since I read one. I do admit, I watch TV some and I have seen a Bronco Sport commercial, more than once. Then again I could just be imagining things due to being so old.
A lot of it is locality based. Maybe you have a smart phone and computer, not everyone does. Which is why I said the area I live in not the whole world.
No you are probably imagining everything, including this post

. Probably better take your meds HAHA!!!
I wonder if some of the TV ads are regional based too? All I've seen so far are the ads for the Bronco Sport, but if I recall they are ads from local dealerships, not Ford. So I'm wondering why we aren't getting the Ford ads here in Idaho? Maybe because the vehicles haven't hit the lots and because nobody here has ordered any maybe? Its so weird though, usually we get hounded with all the new car ads from about October through May, this year there's been very few from all automakers it seems. I get the ads occasionally on Youtube, but I think I've only seen 1 Bronco ad. Its extremely weird. COVID related maybe? I just find it very weird....we are still getting the stupid Medicare ads from the insurance open enrollment too LOL.
Our local newspaper is a joke anyways, nothing really in it other than news from weeks to months old, so you probably aren't missing anything by not getting the newspaper where you are at either. Everything is really so internet based anymore that by the time you find it on TV or the newspaper its weeks, months, or hell even years old LOL.
Many of our elderly here are extremely low income, fixed income based...so many don't have the smart phones, the computers, internet, etc. Many are lucky to still have a landline, and many don't have cable or satellite TV either here. Its so sad, so many worked so hard through their lives to get old and not have a dang thing in the end. Course there are the few that live here who are quite well off, but sadly they're passing away, some way too soon too. We've been losing a lot of older folks this year, and I'd have to think a lot of it is just pure loneliness as everything around where they like to go is all shut down still due to the COVID restrictions...all of our assisted living and nursing homes are all still locked down, many haven't seen or even heard from their families since last year
