Hi everyone. Long time reader, first time poster.

I have a 1996 Mazda B3000 4wd (generally compatible with 1994-1997 2300, 3000 and 4000 4wd)

I am looking to replace one of my fenders and have not had any luck finding one off a 4wd, of course lots out there off the 2wd.

I have looked at many photos and such on the internet and the only difference I can see is that the 2wd doesn't have a fender flare and the 4wd does. To me the flare is aesthetic, so I am trying to figure out if this in fact the only difference.

Anybody out there know?

I believe the flare can be separated from the fender by some clips or screws. Might be able to swap them to the new fenders.

On the ranger the flares bolt through the fender. Mazda and ranger fenders are different though. I would think you could still put a 4x4 flare on a 2x4 mazda by just drilling it?

Yeah you would have to add the holes, I tried before and failed miserably.
You can buy the fenders aftermarket, or try local junkyards. Car-part.com will search multiple junkyards

Hey Guys, thanks for the replies. I am not worried about the flare whatsoever ever. Im trying to figure out if the fender will fit on the truck.

Yes, the only difference is that 4x4's have holes to mount the flares to.
