timing light. A weird threaded puller that removes the stator on 2 stroke dirt bike engines. Air tools (its all battery power now). Some stuff has always been just garage decor, like some manual hand crank drills and a giant snap on tire bead breaker.

I think all my mechanics tools, and most of my other tools are old according to the range dirtman laid out in the first post; 20 to 25 years old.

I have a lot thats older than that. I just don’t consider it old.

Yea i don't have alot of "antique" tools, just alot of stuff from the pre-OBD2 and carburated days that are simply obsolete on anything I work on now.

Just found my timing light, tach/dwell meter, and a box full of replacement points for cars I no longer own. Also found an oil can punch/funnel I don't believe I ever used since oil cans were before my time.

those are the absolute best thing ever for leaving a razor sharp finger slicing edge. BTDT

My kids love it. I’m not a fan of anything pineapple. It eats me back and causes nasty sores in my mouth. Even though canned stuff is cooked and the enzyme no longer active I still don’t like it.

About the only older tools I have are a long right-ish angle screwdriver thingy from blue point for adjusting mixture screws on carbs. And a very shiny timing light from the 70s. Both obsolete but very applicable to my ‘83.

Ok folks, still cleaning...

I'm usually good at identifying random old tools but I found these three things today and have no idea what they are for. Let's see if any of you know.

First one is this weird bar, it's half inch drive but with a female end so you can't put a socket on it. Also has another half inch drive adapter piece but it is also female on both sides. Obviously it can remove half inch square things?

Second one is this little toothbrush looking thing. It's got a ball on one end and a tiny little roller on the other end. I don't even have a guess on this one.

Third is a pair of weird curved pliers. I'd almost say it's for oil filters but it doesn't open big enough for an average oil filter and has nothing on the jaws to grip, just slots. Some kinda plumbing tool maybe?

What the hell does heak mean? I looked it up on Urban Dictionary... I wouldn’t even post one of the definitions here.
