What data plan are you on? Sometimes if you exceed your data allotment, they slow you down for the rest of the month. Maybe you were posting too much and overfilled the bullshit buffer.

It sounds like your computer has been overloaded with multiple browser history. It may also be that the forum is seeing a conflict with your IP address and the IP of another user.
I would suggest logging out on all of your devices, clearing all of your browsing history, shutting off your computer / device, unplugging it for an hour, and then starting everything back up fresh.

I would definitely check the voltage.
Check and make sure your power cables are straight, and don't have any kinks in them.
Avoid any loops in any cable that connects to your computer or device.
This may also be a firewall issue deciphering multiple names with the same IP address.

Modems do go bad, and routers too. See it all the time. If unplugging it for 10 or 15 minutes makes a difference in speed, then the device is about crap itself. Replace, or badger the ISP into replacing if it is their equipment.
